Jeff Silk started at Fisher Investments (FI) in 1983 as one of the firms first employees. Today FI has over 3,000 employees around the world and $110 Billion of Assets Under Management (AUM). Through the years, Jeff has worked in all most every area of our investment firm. Today, Jeff is Co Chief investment Officer and oversees FI’s Portfolio Management Group . Jeff is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee (IPC).
Prior to his current responsibilities, Jeff was Fisher Investments’ President and Chief Operating Officer. He has also served as the firm’s Director of Trading and Operations, where he was instrumental in developing Fisher Investments’ portfolio management, research and trading technology.
Jeff grew up in San Mateo and graduated with the Dean’s Award from the University of San Francisco. He met his wife Naomi at Aragon High School in San Mateo. They raised 3 kids in Hillsborough California. Jeff’s hobbies are tennis, golf, skiing, sailing and model railroading.
Jeff is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at The University of San Francisco. Part of his responsibilities include being a member of Investment Committee responsible for the investment oversight of the foundation and endowments at the university. He is also a Board Regents at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo. Additionally, he is part of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. For the RMH, Jeff is on the Investment Committee responsible for overseeing the endowment assets.
